Cinca Feeling Fresh- Daniel Excited and Humbled
Cinca is feeling fresh, and Daniel is excited and humbled to be representing New Zealand again for the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Sopot 5* has now come to it’s conclusion, and Daniel jumping a classy double clear round in the huge 1.60m Grand Prix was the highlight of the show for the kiwi contingent, Daniel is very happy with Cinca’s form leading up to Tokyo, she seems to be hitting her peak at the crucial time, Daniel says that she has untold ability, and is one of the best horses he has ever ridden.
The eye catching duo now head to St Tropez 4* for the first two weeks of July before heading to Aachen in Germany for the Olympic Quarantine which starts on the 17th July, the team fly’s on the 26th July to Japan.
” It has always been my life goal to compete at the Olympic Games, so once again I am lucky to live the dream, and I thank my team at Johnson Horses, and Cinca’s proud owner Desiree Johnson”.
Richard Gardner and Calisto missed Olympic selection, and Richard is now relaxing and not rushing into any new major goal setting, but rather taking stock of the situation, the young horses have been slightly on the back burner whilst Olympic Selection was the goal, so now it’s time to focus on them, but still do some nice big shows with the older horses as they come along.
Richard was very happy with Calisto’s performance in Sopot, such an unlucky rail keeping him out of the jump off in the Grand Prix.
I’m sure we will see this combination back soon and on fire.
