GRACE WEBB INTRODUCTION
Hi, my name is Grace Webb and I am a 16-year-old year 12 student who competes with my two talented ponies in the show jumping circuit. I got into riding through my neighbour, who was an amazing gutsy rider and she encouraged me to start riding. I instantly fell in love with it and am so thankful for her pushing me to start.
It is so crazy looking back on those first moments and realising how far I’ve come from the nervous pony club rider who was too scared to leave the lead to the rider I am now. It’s definitely been a long journey with many ups and downs to get to where I am now, I am so thankful for all the support I have had especially in the last season.
Last season was the best season I have ever had, achieving lots of my goals and exceeding everyone’s expectations including mine. I finished the season confidently competing in the Pony Mini Prix’s and the Pony 1.20m’s, I wouldn’t have got there if it wasn’t for my Mum and for my amazing coach Mark Wells.
My goals for the next season is to be competitive in the Pony Mini Prix’s and hopefully even step up the heights. In the future I would love to do some Junior Riders, Young Riders and Horse Grand Prix’s, I am confident I can get there with the support of all my family and friends as well as Mark’s coaching.
Thanks for reading and don’t forget to keep an eye out for my future blogs!
